Emerge Global

An old school friend approached me about designing some charity posters and a banner for a concert she was organizing for her final major project at university.

The charity Emerge Global supports Sri Lankan girls, age 10-18, who have been removed from their homes due to past abuse or the threat of abuse. Emerge programs equip these girls with skills and resources for their futures, using a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes leadership, life skills, and business knowledge, while simultaneously generating a financial foundation for each program participant through the creation of unique jewelry.

I was more than happy to help out and I am pleased to say that my friend loved them!

Here is a photo of the banner outside the church.

Time of My Life completed!!

It has taken me a while to get around to uploading the finished version of this theatre poster! All went well and I said goodbye as it went to print :)

The ongoing feedback at Design Jazz helped me achieve the best composition for the client. Thanks Alan!

Time of My Life

Another illustration for a theatre production, this is still ongoing at the moment as I experiment with colour and type.
I kept a similar style of illustration to the last one I completed, drawing with pens on paper first then colouring with digital tools.

Safari Party

This is the poster artwork for a theatre production I produced while working at Design Jazz. Type was later added to it for titles e.t.c

I struggled to begin with while working on this, trying to adapt my style with the materials I had available at the time. The colours came across well for the comedy feel of the play and after a while I started to like what I was producing!

In the end the client was pleased and I was happy I got through the challenge! :)

Design Jazz

I've been working at Design Jazz Ltd since September now and I am grateful for the experience it is giving me! I have worked with mostly print work, having produced my own 80 page brochure and an illustrated advert for a theatre production along with current work on school signage! These are just a few... all of this is helping me work with real live briefs and all that is involved from start to finish.

It has been an exciting few months, which I am sure will continue and I will have much more to share and show for it!

Watch this space for photographs of printed work!
